LET OUR FALL COLORS WOW YOU!
There is no appointment necessary to visit the park for enjoying the beauty along the trails Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 11th, from 10 AM to 5 PM, using the entrance and parking lot at 5444 Welch Road, Emmett Township, MI, 48022. Please, no pets. A golf cart with driver provided is often available by phone reservation, 810-387-2765, for those in need of it - it accomadates 3 adult visitors.
The park remains open to visitors by appointment (810-387-2765) through the seasonal closing - October 31st at 5 PM, and will repoen April 1st, 2010, BY APPOINTMENT. Appointments for educational guided tours can be made April through October 31st at 810-387-2765. Appointments can also be made by phone at 313-886-9343, November through March. Please feel free to contact us with your general and plant questions and comments using email at sunnyfields62@yahoo.com (although phoning often brings a faster reply.)
Our privilege of providing the public access to our unique botanical park is dependent on your generous donations and the help of volunteers, which are always needed. Thank you for your interest and support! Membership dues and donations are tax deductible, as Sunny Fields is a recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational charity. A Special Place for Photography
Sunny Fields is available for some very special photography. If you have an interest in taking pictures of unique flowers, unusual settings or just plain taking pictures, Sunny Fields may be the most rewarding place to visit. Bill Horman has volumes of photographs taken at all times of the day and evening and in all seasons. If you would like to try your hand at some photography please call for an appointment. He suggests early morning and would make the park available as well in early evening for some spectacular pictures. Wildlife is abundant at the park and you might just get the picture you've been seeking for your collection. Give Bill Horman a call at 810-387-2765 to set up an appointment and share the beauty of Sunny Fields with others.
Tours
You can tour Sunny Fields at your leisure by setting up an appointment - 810-387-2765 - most any day. Tours are usually set up for 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M., however flexible scheduling is offered, such as for early morning and near dusk. If you have difficulty walking the trails, a golf cart is often available and will hold up to four people. When you call, simply let Bill know you may need this assistance and he will be happy to provide this help. Also there are benches on which to take a break, and a port-a-john available on the premises for your comfort. The park is open through October so the beautiful fall colors may be observed in the serenity of Sunny Fields.
Sunny Fields was created to enhance the lives of all who visit, especially through its extensive botanical diversity. Come visit from April 1st through October 31st and enjoy the ever changing place of solace and beauty we have. You will want to visit often and bring others.
